To provide outings that will allow participants to have an enjoyable experience, below are simple guides for all to comply with.

  1. Are the organisers providing any travel insurance?

NO - the organisers do not provide insurance and it is the responsibility of the individual to take any insurance they may feel necessary. See  3 above

2. Who can participate?

Primarily rtirees are the focus of but where possible family and friends  are welcome

Background Overview

This site offers retirees the chance to get out and about as well meeting other retirees.

This site is not part of any operator in the Retirement Industry but its organisers live in one.

This site operates as a Not For Profit organisation.

As such, prices are offered at 'value for money' pricing.

Participation

Retirees are all welcome. Upcoming outings are promoted in appropiate Retirement Villages Newsletter and on this website.. Contact organisers for more information.

Insurance

The organisers do NOT carry insurance and all participants acknowledge that they understand this and if they wish they may arrange individual insurance.

In booking an event a participant acknowledges they are aware of this.

Organisers may request participants to sign a acknowledgement to this fact before attending an event

Payment

The cost of an event will be advertised and a payment date and time will be included in the promotion of the outing.

Payment is currently by a Direct payment to our bank account or by  cash.

EFTPOS is coming soon.

If payment is not received by the due date, the organiser my re-allocate to another person.

Organisers Authority

The organisers can, if required,to protect the both the integraty of the event and the safety of attendees they may:

  • Refuse a request to attend an eventt
  • Rrequest a person leave an event
  • 'Ban' aperson who does not act in the spirt of the even

Cancelations & Refunds

Many outings require a minimum number of participants and the event is priced accordingly.

On short day trips, if you cancel, and the event has been paid for then there will be no refund unless the venue is prepared to make this refund.

On longer overnight tripss will require a non-refundable deposit to coverpayments to the venue. After full payment is made any refund will be upto the venue, 

Remember if a cancellation is made and a refund is requested, then the cost of other components may have to be adjusted for others on the trip. Some venues deduct a cancellation fee from a refund.

Resales

If a participant can not attend, they may on sell their ticket to another retiree.

Whilst the organiser will assistwhere possible.

The onus is on the partici to on sell their interest and if they do, then the organiser must be advised of this change.
